Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Jarritos’: A Vibrant Homage to Mexican Heritage Drops in May

In 1950, Don Francisco Hill transformed the soft drink landscape in Mexico City. He introduced naturally flavored sodas in a range of unexpected flavors, from coffee to tamarind. The brand, christened “Jarritos”—inspired by traditional Mexican clay drinking pots—made a name for itself by remaining faithful to its Mexican roots and continually pushing the envelope of flavor profiles.

Fast forward to the present, and Nike SB Dunk Low has crafted the ‘Jarritos’ edition, a vibrant celebration of this rich history. The design, a canvas and leather Dunk, is inspired by the original canvas bags used to harvest the fruits that inform Jarritos’ unique flavors. This interpretation of the SB Dunk Low Jarritos is a symphony of bold colors, custom insole art, and iconic green and orange hues. It’s a striking tribute to culture, tradition, and craftsmanship.

The shoe’s design doesn’t stop at visual appeal. It offers three lace options and features co-branded tongue and heel art. To top it off, there’s a tearaway canvas overlay in high abrasion areas which, when skated, reveals pops of safety orange. It’s a shoe that not only looks good but tells a story with every wear.

The Dunk Low ‘Jarritos’ will be available in select skate shops from May 6 and from SNKRS on May 10. Priced at $130.00, the shoe is not just footwear—it’s a slice of Mexican heritage you can wear. ‘¡Qué buenos son!’ or ‘How good they are!’ indeed.
