Apple TV+ has announced that their acclaimed dramedy “Physical” will be returning for its third and final season on August 2, 2023. The 10-episode season will feature Rose Byrne, who will also serve as an executive producer, and will continue the story of Sheila Rubin, a housewife who finds redemption through aerobics during the 1980s in San Diego.
Series creator and executive producer Annie Weisman stated, “With this final season, Sheila’s three-act saga of rebellion, recovery, and redemption comes to the satisfying conclusion that she and her fans so richly deserve. We feel so proud to share this last chapter with everyone.”








Cast and critical acclaim for “Physical” continues, with the series being praised for its ensemble cast, led by Rose Byrne. The show’s worldwide success has gained a following, and fans of the series will be excited to hear that Emmy and Grammy Award nominee, and Critics Choice Award winner Zooey Deschanel will be joining the cast for its final season.
In addition to “Physical,” Apple TV+ offers premium drama and comedy series, feature films, groundbreaking documentaries, and kids and family entertainment. Since its launch in November 2019, its original programming has received 365 wins and 1,452 award nominations and counting, including “CODA,” which won the Best Picture award at the Oscars.
Expanding on Sheila’s journey
“Physical” Season 3 expands its cast with Zooey Deschanel, who plays Kelli, a network sitcom star who decides to enter the burgeoning fitness industry.
Season 2 found Sheila Rubin struggling to choose between loyalty to her husband and a dangerous attraction to someone else, as well as a tougher path toward creating a fitness empire. Fans can catch up on Season 1 and 2 of “Physical” on Apple TV+ before Season 3 releases.

The series is produced for Apple TV+ by Tomorrow Studios, with Annie Weisman serving as showrunner and director Stephanie Laing serving as executive producer alongside Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements and Alissa Bachner for Tomorrow Studios and Rose Byrne.
In addition to “Physical,” Rose Byrne will soon be seen in the new Apple Original comedy series, “Platonic,” co-created, directed, and co-written by Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco and co-starring Seth Rogen. The series will premiere on Apple TV+ on May 24.
