Disney+, the dedicated streaming platform for content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more, is set to roll out an impressive lineup of original films, series, and additions to its library throughout June 2023.
On Friday, June 2, the platform will release “Pride from Above.” Following this, viewers can look forward to the second season of “America’s National Parks” and “First Alaskans,” along with “Avatar: The Way of Water” on Wednesday, June 7.
Highlighted Premieres
On Friday, June 9, “Hailey’s on It!” (Season 1, 6 episodes) will be available for streaming, alongside the premiere of “Flamin’ Hot,” an inspiring true story about Richard Montañez (Jesse Garcia). As a Frito-Lay janitor, Montañez disrupted the food industry, turning Flamin’ Hot Cheetos into an iconic global pop culture phenomenon.
June 16 will see the premiere of the official documentary film, “Stan Lee,” from Marvel Studios and acclaimed director David Gelb. The film traces the life, career, and legacy of Stan “The Man” Lee from his early days as Stanley Lieber to the rise of Marvel Comics.
Notable Series Debuts
“Secret Invasion,” a new series from Marvel Studios premieres on Wednesday, June 21. Set in the present-day MCU, the series tells the tale of Nick Fury discovering a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls.
Also slated for a premiere on June 23 is “World’s Best.” This tale follows twelve-year-old mathematics genius Prem, who discovers his recently deceased father was a famous rapper and sets out to learn more about his life and passions.
Closing the Month Strong
Closing the month, Disney+ will offer a special treat to Star Wars fans with the premiere of “Disney Gallery: Star Wars: The Mandalorian – The Making of Season 3” on Wednesday, June 28. This installment of Disney’s Gallery documentary series gives an in-depth look into the making of the Emmy®-award winning series’ third season.
