SeaWorld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, the first Marine Life Theme Park in the region, is officially open. The grand opening celebration, held on May 22, was a star-studded affair. It featured memorable performances by international superstars, including Emirati musician Hussain Al Jassmi and Scottish artist Red, backed by an impressive orchestra of 120 musicians. Furthermore, an immersive sound and light show added a touch of magic to the opening of this next-generation Marine Life Theme Park. Miral, in partnership with SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, developed this mega project, ensuring Yas Island adds another star to its theme park constellation.
One Epic Ocean Spectacular Kicks Off The Opening
The One Ocean realm, where the event was hosted, witnessed a special inaugural viewing of the SeaWorld Abu Dhabi’s One Epic Ocean spectacular. Using multimedia and advanced spatial audio, the show brought the ocean’s wonders to life on a gigantic 360-degree screen. The awe-inspiring sound and light display that followed, featuring a swirling vortex lighting up the One Ocean globe, was a significant highlight. Afterward, guests enjoyed performances by the orchestra and Red, culminating in a unique track by Hussain Al Jassmi, specially dedicated to SeaWorld Abu Dhabi.

Chairman of Miral, H.E. Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, expressed his excitement about the park’s opening, calling it a significant milestone for Abu Dhabi. He emphasized SeaWorld Abu Dhabi’s importance in promoting environmental awareness and protecting marine life. “This one-of-a-kind park represents the next generation of theme parks and undoubtedly inspires guests to care for and protect our precious marine life for years to come,” he stated.

Each realm is uniquely themed, providing guests with a glimpse of different marine environments found globally.
