Nintendo’s New Releases: Pikmin HD, Fire Emblem, and More

Nintendo is bringing back the classics, and they’re better than ever. This week, Nintendo Switch users can now enjoy the first two games of the beloved Pikmin series in high definition. Originally released on the Nintendo GameCube system, Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2 have been revamped and are now available for purchase individually or as a discounted digital bundle.

With these additions, all four main games in the Pikmin series – Pikmin 1, Pikmin 2, Pikmin 3, and, as of July 21, Pikmin 4 – are playable on one system. However, the fun doesn’t stop there. Starting June 28, a demo of Pikmin 4 will be available in the Nintendo eShop, giving players a taste of the game before its full launch on July 21.

A New Chapter in the Story of Seasons

Meanwhile, fans of the farming classic, Story of Seasons, can look forward to a new adventure. In “A Wonderful Life,” players can put down roots in the peaceful town of Forgotten Valley and create their own generation-spanning tale of friendship, family, and farming. Pre-orders are available now, with the game set to launch on June 27.

Fire Emblem Makes its Debut on Nintendo Switch Online

In addition, Fire Emblem, also known as Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade, is now available on Nintendo Switch Online. This Game Boy Advance classic was the first installment in the series to launch outside of Japan and is known for its fierce tactical combat and rich, intrigue-filled storytelling. Players can gather heroes, hone their skills on the battlefield, and lead their units to victory in a world on the brink of war.

New DLC and Demos

Nintendo is also introducing new paid DLC for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. In “The Last Spark Hunter,” players can join Mario and friends on a journey to a musical planet, filled with new areas to explore and enemies to battle. The DLC launches later today, and a demo of the main game is also available now in the Nintendo eShop.

Nintendo eShop Sales

For those looking to save, Nintendo is offering up to 50% off during the Hyper Max Sale. This includes deals on games like Metroid Dread, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, and more. The sale ends June 25 at 11:59 p.m. PT, so don’t miss out on these great deals.
